We currently have vacancies for Architectural Technologists at various levels to be based at one of our Northern Studios. You will be working closely with multi-disciplinary design team members and dependent on the role, BDP’s clients on projects in a variety of sectors.

About the role:

The role will be centered on the use of BIM methodologies to carry out conceptual, schematic, and detailed design, 3D modelling, technical reports and design coordination.

As a major interdisciplinary building design practice of Architects, Engineers, Designers and Urbanists, BDP offers a unique opportunity to work on a range of high-profile projects within interdisciplinary project teams across multiple sectors.

About you:

Candidates should be able to meet the following criteria, which should be evidenced through the portfolio:

Have excellent design and presentation skills using a variety of media
Possess the ability to communicate verbally in a clear manner
Demonstrate excellent people skills and to work well within the dynamics of a design team
Hold a BSc (Hons) in Architectural Technology or similar/equivalent
Demonstrate a good understanding of BIM processes, including the PAS 1192 suite of documents and ISO 19650
Have excellent skills in Autodesk Revit software, with the ability to train and mentor other members of staff
Have a good knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM360), Navisworks or similar design coordination tools
Membership with the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) will be considered an advantage, but not essential.
