Sister Talk & Tour

Join us for an evening at the former UMIST campus for an informal gathering and insight into one of Manchester’s most anticipated regeneration projects – Sister.
The evening will begin with drinks and a chance to connect with fellow industry professionals in the Renold Building, before a presentation from developer Bruntwood and architect Allies & Morrison, who will share their vision and place-making proposals for the Sister scheme.
With planning recently secured for Plot C, this is a timely opportunity to hear directly from the project team about where the development is heading. We’ll then take a guided walkaround of the wider site to see it in context, before rounding off with further drinks and opportunity for informal questions.
Whether you’re interested in the design approach, or the broader ambitions for this part of the city, this promises to be a fascinating evening with plenty of opportunity for discussion.

Approximate event timings:
5.30pm — Welcome drink and informal networking in Cafe space
6.00pm — Move to Auditorium for talk and brief presentation from Bruntwood on the vision for Sister and place-making proposals by Allies & Morrison.
6.45pm — Tour of Renold Building
7.00pm — Tour of the wider development site including the Holloway Wall
7.30pm — Return to Café space for drinks for any questions, informal networking and close
